노래로 신약 본문을 들려줘서 놀랬습니다.
bible.com에서 성경을 오디오로 제공해 주는데요.
ESV 영어 버전 오디오 중에 신약성경을 노래로 불러줍니다(Living Water Bible – ESV Music Project by Lutheran Bible Translators).
노래는 가사가 시 같이 구성되어야 곡을 만들기 쉬운데요.
성경 본문은 그냥 글인데 이것을 노래로 하다니.
노래가 보통 3-5분인데 성경 본문이다 보니 10분 넘어가는 장도 있습니다.

There was no room for Jesus when Jesus was born.
There were many people to register their family according to Caesar’s decree.
Some people sold food for visitors.
Some people sold clothes.
But they didn’t concern new born Jesus so no room for him.
Even today, there is also no room for Jesus.
Someone for their business
Someone for funny life.
Someone for achievement.
There is no room for Jesus.
I realize I have no room for Jesus because my work, my interest.

Give praise for the slow but steady growth of Turkish evangelical Christianity. Turkish and Kurdish believers probably numbered around 10 in 1960 but rose to around 4,000 by 2010. Many hoped for or expected greater growth of the Church. But while small in number, it grew stronger and more mature. The growth of the 1990s and early 2000s slowed down when faced with spiritual, legal, and cultural opposition. Pray for the evangelism and church planting of the past generation to carry on! Meanwhile there is a remarkable turning to Christ of migrants from Iran, Iraq, Afghanistan and elsewhere who are refugees in Turkey. While ministry to Turks and Kurds is watched closely, there seems to be greater freedom to minister to these refugees.
꾸준히 성장하는 터키의 복음적인 기독교인들에게 감사합니다. 터키와 쿠르드족의 믿는 자는 1960년대에 10명이었지만 2010년에 4000명정도로 늘었습니다. 많은 사람들이 교회가 크게 성장하길 바라고 있습니다. 수적으로는 적을지라도 신앙적으로 강하고 성숙해 졌습니다. 1990년대와 2000년 초기의 성장세는 영적, 법적, 문화적 반대요소들로 인해 둔화되었습니다. 지난 세대가 뿌린 복음과 교회의 신앙적 요소들이 끊이지 않고 계속 되길 기도합니다. 이란, 이라크, 아프가니스탄에서 온 이민자들과 터키에 있는 망명자들이 그리스도께 돌아오는 크나큰 역사가 있었습니다. 터키인과 쿠르드인에 대한 사역이 더 감시되기도 하지만, 망명자들에 대한 사역이 좀더 자유롭게 되어 가는 듯 합니다.
